Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seekinga highly motivated Estates Officerwho will be based in the Estates department at Rampton Hospital which is a high secure environment. The post holder is required to play a proactive part within the EstatesOperational Management team to meet Trust objectives in a safe, cost effective, efficient manner in compliance with legislation and good practice.

Main duties of the job

As an Estates Officer, the post holder will report directly to the Estates Engineering Service Manager and provide effective management and leadership support for Estates Contract Maintenance Service Manager, additional works, Capital backlog and maintenance services, supported by performance management arrangements. You will encourage team working by providing the varied skills that support the department's philosophy and flexible working. Training will be available in elements required but the post holder will need to have sound Building services skills and be expected to acquirethe skills required to support this flexibility in a safe and professional manner. The post holder will be expected to work across all Forensic care group Trust sites.

Job responsibilities

The post holder should have a Building/Building services related HNC/HND or a higher level qualification and have relevant experience to enable them to undertake the duties of the post. CAD skills are essential.

The post holder will be appointed as appropriate to named Competent Person roles for confined spaces and asbestos in keeping with requirements laid down in Hospital Technical Memorandums (HTM) and Health and Safety documentation. Suitable training will be provided.

The post holder will be a member of a small group of managerial/technical staff who manage and operate complex technical systems, incumbent maintenance contractor, performance and processes across the Forensic Care Group, ensuring compliance with Trust standards, procedures and legislation.The post holder will be required to participate in the Forensic Estates emergency on-call rota, following a period of familiarisation.Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively lead, motivate and be committed to the development of the department regarding training and performance development.

A full UK driving license is essential.
