Job summary
Due to substantial investment, we are now in an exciting position to substantially recruit to the CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment Team and the Liaison Teams as part of the Urgent Care Provision.
There are multiple roles covering both the CAMHS Crisis Team which covers Nottingham City and County and the CAMHS Liaison Services in the Nottinghamshire Hospitals. Note: the successful applicants may be asked to cover both areas, although will specialise in one.
Main duties of the job
The main aspects of the role will include:
- Promoting and delivering evidence based interventions in line with NICE guidelines to meet the needs of young people in crisis.
- Work with complex young people and their families and help to contain a crisis situation through effective assessment, formulation and treatment.
- Providing support and leadership to junior practitioners alongside Clinical Leads to undertake the therapeutic work that places the young person at the heart of their care.
- Linking in with the inclusion and involvement work with young people who have used the service to ensure that it is service user co-produced and meeting the needs of the families in crisis.
- Establishing pathways, building links to services and working alongside the Clinical and Operational Leads to promote the service.
- Designing and delivering appropriate leaflets or tools that can be used with young people and families to enable them to self manage their mental health.
- There will be an expectation of delivering training and consultation to staff, as well as helping to jointly formulate the role of the team alongside wider needs and support networks using a therapeutic base.
