Job summary
This post is eligible for a Golden Hello payment of £2,750 for new starters who are external to the Trust. This is payable in 3 instalments over a 2 year period. This payment is only eligible to new starters who do not already hold a contract of employment with the Trust. This post also includes paid enhancements for unsocial hours working during night, weekends and bank holidays.
The East Midlands Forensic Mental Health Service, Arnold Lodge, based in Central Leicester is a 102 bedded Medium Secure Hospital providing in-patient Forensic Psychiatric Services for adults with Mental Disorder and a history of offending behaviour aged 18 and above.
Arnold Lodge provides the highest standards of evidence-based therapeutic care, which includes vocational and recreational opportunities. Clinical knowledge and expertise to ensure we consistently deliver a quality service to all the patients in our care across 3 care streams: Male Mental Illness, Male Personality Disorder and Women's Service. Within a modern purpose built hospital which is compliant with National Medium Secure Standards.
Main duties of the job
We currently have vacancies for Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) who are caring and compassionate about working with an adult patient group with mental health problems. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team within a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Your first professional membership fees (NMC) will be paid as incentive to gaining employment once qualified.
We are looking for Staff Nurses who are resilient, passionate about nursing and patient centred. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and understand the need for developing positive therapeutic relationships with our patient group. Applicants need to be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a dynamic team.
At Arnold Lodge we value and recognise the contribution of our staff, offering a comprehensive induction and preceptorship programme. In addition, we provide learning and improving opportunities for continued personal and professional development through ongoing training, education, supervision and appraisal.
You will be required to work on a rotational 24 hour shift pattern which includes days, nights and long days. You must be an RMN or completing a qualification in Mental Health Nursing and be registered with the NMC. Options to work part time available.
