The Broxtowe Community Mental Health Team is a well-established team, based at Stapleford Care Centre which offers assessment & treatment for people over the age of 65 with mental health needs & for people of any age with a dementia diagnosis.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm, however we can offer flexibility.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work alongside specialist occupational therapists delivering occupational therapy assessments & interventions to the CMHT multidisciplinary team. The teams aim to promote recovery enabling patients to remain at home & supporting their positive mental and physical wellbeing.

Some of the duties of this job include:

  • To provide an occupational therapy service for older people with complex mental health needs who are referred to the service.
  • To carry out occupational therapy assessment, goal setting, implementation of treatment programmes and evaluation.
  • To establish the needs of individuals referred to the service and plan care with colleagues from health, social services, families, and the voluntary sector.
  • To promote occupational therapy and support service development
