Physiotherapy Technical Instructor (Intellectual Disabilities Service)
Permanent Band 3 Post
30 hours per week (worked over 4/5 days)
You should have some previous experience/interest in supporting people with Intellectual Disabilities, and you should be able to physically support service users with their individual therapy programmes and to support rebound therapy sessions. You should also be a sufficiently confident in water to enable you to offer physical to the service users during their hydrotherapy sessions.
Ideally, you should have NVQ 3, or be working towards this, in a health-related subject.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010. (Appropriate mileage allowance would be payable).
Allied Health Professionals within Nottinghamshire Healthcare are at the forefront of a range of multi-disciplinary, specialist services for people with complex needs, using their expertise around promoting recovery, enablement and positive risk taking, to add life to years, prevent relapse and reduce risks.
Main duties of the job
Role Context: This role requires an individual to work with qualified Physiotherapists and as part of a multidisciplinary team, offering Physiotherapy services to clients, service users or patients in a variety of clinical or community settings. These interventions will be under the direction and supervision (but not necessarily the presence) of qualified staff.
There is a need for awareness of both security and patient/client issues.
There is a need to assist with the administration duties within the team environment.
