Job summary

The post is situated atRampton Hospital, part of the Forensic Division within the Trust, one of only three High Secure Hospitals in England.

We are the only Hospital in the country to provide High Secure care to patients who are women, who are deaf or who have Learning Disabilities, alongside our Mental Health and Personality Disorder treatment pathways.

We are looking to recruit a Band 3Therapeutic Involvement Worker. The post will be based in aDay Unit setting within the National High Secure Women's Service, strengthening our existing team of experienced staff in the Therapies and Education Service.

The post holder should have NVQ level 1 or equivalent and GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English, further training to level 2 gym instructor's qualification or equivalent, or be currently working towards this. Additional there must be a willingness to complete and engage in the NPLQ (lifeguard) training.

This post attracts Additional High Secure Allowance of £7,000 per year

Main duties of the job

To contribute to the therapy provision within the Therapies and Education Service at Rampton hospital under the direction of senior staff.

To work as part of a team to deliver therapy through the use of a health and fitness activities to provide services for individuals experiencing mental ill health (to include Mental illness, Personality Disorder and Learning Disability).

To be an integral part of and work within a team contributing to the assessment and treatment of individual patients.
