An opportunity has arisen for a full time Community Learning Disability Nurse to work within the ICAT Team based at Highbury Hospital, Nottingham.

ICATT provides a rapid, short term assessment and treatment service for people with a learning disability who challenge services and may have additional mental health needs. The ICAT Team seek to provide an alternative to hospital admission where it is appropriate to do so, enabling service users with a to receive treatment and care within their own homes, remain involved in their care as part of their own community, therefore minimising the disruption of their lives and the lives of those caring for them.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Disability Nurses to utilise their knowledge and skills in providing a high quality service to the service users and carers in the Nottingham area.
You will be expected to work in a variety of bases and settings and meet the needs of individuals living within the localities
You will be highly motivated team player able to demonstrate a high level of professional competence. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The post requires close work with other health and social care professionals and the provision of extra support to care co-ordinators. As part of a team you will be expected to contribute to the risk management plans.
You must have the ability to analyse and assist in making decisions regarding client risk and support in complex cases.
You must have the ability to lone work in the community and manage your own workload and personal time management.
IT skills are essential as you will be expected to keep an electronic diary and enter information on an electronic clinical data base.
