This is a senior role reporting directly to our Deputy Director of Nursing, and will play a key role in driving forward our vision to deliver outstanding Mental Health, Learning Disability, Forensic and Community Health services and shaping our inclusive culture in line with our Trust values.

Main duties of the job

You will be an integral part of the Trust's Senior Nursing, Allied Healthcare Professionals & Quality team reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Nursing. This post will work closely with our Medical team and support the Trustwide development of the physical healthcare strategy. You will lead and develop contemporary initiatives to improve physical health care delivery and practice across the Trust. You will lead the work on medical devices across the Trust.

You will be a highly visible, proactive and compassionate clinical leader with extensive senior management/professional leadership experience. Acting as a role model and clinical resource, you will ensure the sustained delivery of high standards of nursing care and service delivery and have service user and carer Involvement at the heart of everything you do.You will have knowledge of compliance, clinical governance and risk management and a proven record in improving patient safety, patient experience and clinical effectiveness.This is an excellent opportunity to bring your leadership experience to a value-based organisation with big ambitions for those we serve.If this role sounds exciting to you and you have the skills and experience described as well as sharing our values then we would welcome your application.

  • Registered Nursing or AHP qualification
  • Master's degree or equivalent level of practical experience
  • Appropriate management and/or post graduate qualification to Doctorate level
  • Enhanced and specialist knowledge in physical health care
