Job summary
The post holder will be an integral member of the Nottingham Recovery Network (NRN), NRN supports people resident within Nottingham City who misuse drugs and alcohol. The post holder will have a community caseload of primarily drug dependent service users who require prescribed treatment interventions in addition to psychosocial support. The post holder will be instrumental in enabling service users to minimise harm whilst moving through the treatment system to potentially progress out of treatment.
The post holder will provide high quality evidenced based substance misuse treatment to adults with dependence in accordance with UK guidelines on clinical management, drug misuse and dependence, DOH 2017. This is achieved through comprehensive assessment skills that include, identification of risks, key worker sessions, clinical testing, psycho social interventions, identifying and responding to general and psychological healthcare needs, identifying and addressing the effects of trauma including domestic violence, identifying and responding to safeguarding, and supporting recovery through access to aftercare support.
As a senior clinician within substance misuse services (Nottingham City), there will be an expectation that the post-holder will provide leadership for colleagues, partner agencies and key stakeholders. There will be an expectation that the post-holder will develop additional skills such as non-medical prescribing and/or specialist psychosocial interventions
Main duties of the job
To provide clinical supervision to the team. To assist the Team Managers in the development of the NRN Substance Misuse Services
To provide Clinical Supervision.
To complete PADs in accordance with trust policy.
To assist with investigation of complaints or similar.
To keep Team Managers informed of events and activities of an untoward nature as well as routine matters relating to managers accountability.

- Degree (or equivalent) in health, social care or community services field.
- Registered nurse or Social Worker Diploma level qualifications and experience in the delivery of Psychosocial Interventions.
- Engagement and intervention based skills.
Desirable
- Diploma in Substance Misuse, Brief interventions, Motivational Interviewing or equivalent.
- Supervision training.
- Diploma in evidence based interviewing MI, CBT.
Experience

- Significant experience of individual client work with alcohol/drug users. Experience of engaging effectively with clients.
