There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our service in this newly created clinical OT lead post at Arnold Lodge hospital.
Arnold Lodge is sited in Leicester and provides medium secure care for 102 patients across three care pathways - male mental health, personality, and women's (including an enhanced service).
Your role will be to ensure the provision of a of high-quality evidence based Occupational Therapy service within this forensic setting alongside the OT manager.
You will be working within an innovative and established Therapy Services team which includes Occupational Therapists, support staff, education tutors, sports & fitness staff and peer support workers. The team provides a comprehensive range of interventions to meet the therapeutic needs of the patient group and promote recovery and well-being.

Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the occupational therapy manager to oversee the day to day running of the occupational therapy service, ensuring the provision of an evidence-based, recovery focused service.
You will deputise for the occupational therapy manager as necessary and share specific management tasks.
As clinical lead you will provide specialist advice, support and clinical supervision to staff and students.
You will have responsibility for practice development within Occupational Therapy and lead on other service and quality improvement initiatives.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with a small caseload of patients ensuring that high quality individualised care is provided and delivered.
