Job summary
A number of exciting opportunities have become available for psychology, in Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) in Nottinghamshire. We have opportunities in community services for both substantive and temporary (maternity leave) appointments in various geographical locations, for candidates seeking both full-time and part-time hours. Posts are banded at 8a, however we are happy to receive applications from those approaching qualification, or newly qualified, interested in preceptorship arrangements leading to an 8a appointment.
These opportunities would be available for those with an appropriate applied psychology qualification, with HCPC registration. In addition, we have maternity leave opportunities in inpatient services and our Therapeutic Intervention Service, as well as a substantive post in memory assessment services.
Main duties of the job
MHSOP is an established directorate within the Trust. The psychology department has excellent links to local universities and professional training programmes. Currently, the Trust is undergoing a number of service development programmes including pathways for psychological therapies, SMI and complex emotional needs. In parallel with this, the directorate is reviewing the provision of psychologically informed care and training to support this.
Psychologists are integral to this process and future post holders would have opportunities to both support and participate in these developments. The work described above, is cross directorate and includes other partnership organisations and providers.
