Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare are delighted to offer a post for a Complementary Therapy Co-ordinator to join our specialist team.

Based within our John Eastwood Hospice and benefiting from fantastic dedicated therapy suites the successful candidate will lead our complementary therapy services for our inpatient and outpatient provision.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced qualified therapist to deliver a range of therapies based on the needs of patients and those important to them.

Experience of working within the NHS and/ or with patients with palliative care needs is essential.

Main duties of the job

Please see the attached job description for the full breadth or duties.

You will deliver high quality, individual focused therapies across a range of inpatients and outpatients as well as those important to them, their carer's and at times our staff and other professionals.

You will deliver training and support to the wider team and to other professionals to support the delivery of simple therapies to benefit patient care.

You will be a key part of our Living Well Services contributing to service development to make sure it continues to meet the challenges of our patient population.

  • Recognised degree level qualification in complementary therapy or diploma plus experience to degree level
  • Current membership of professional body
  • Recent and up to date ongoing professional development
  • Experience in a broad range of complementary therapies

Desirable

  • Communication skills training
  • Skills in reiki and other broader therapies

Experience

  • Evidence of recent and relevant working within the NHS or equivalent healthcare setting

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a palliative care setting
  • Experience of working with people approaching end of line and those important to them
  • Experience of teaching others including volunteers and other professionals
