Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Registered Dietitian to join our Physical Healthcare Service based at Rampton Hospital. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the service consisting of a Senior Specialist Dietitian and a wide range of MDT members supported by a wider dietetic team including a Professional Lead, Specialist and Food Services Lead Dietitians.
While based at Rampton Hospital the post holder will travel across sites to support patients in the other three lower security hospitals within the Trust.
This post attracts a High Secure allowance of £4012 per annum (pro rata for part time)
Enthusiasm and a keen interest in mental health is vital. You will be working with adults with complex mental health and nutritional issues, requiring skilled nutritional assessment and advice. You'll gain knowledge and experience in a diverse range of conditions such as gastrointestinal dysfunction, diabetes, stoma management and food and fluid refusal. Previous clinical experience across a wide range of specialties, including nutrition support, weight management, diabetes, eating disorders and disordered eating are essential. Main duties of the job
To provide an efficient and high quality specialised dietetic service for adults within Nottinghamshire Healthcare Forensic Division, based in Rampton High Secure Hospital.
To act as an educator, expert clinician, and source of support to other healthcare professionals and hospital staff.
To ensure commitment to interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary team (MDT) working, promoting the specialist role of the Dietitian across Forensic Services.
To enhance patient empowerment towards better self-care, via delivery of individual and group structured patient education programmes.
To meet the requirements of the service level agreements.
