An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated HCPC registered dietitian to join our Physical Healthcare Department based at Rampton Hospital. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the department consisting of a Senior Specialist Dietitian, GPs, Primary Healthcare Nurses, Urgent Care Nurses, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and visiting professionals such as Optometrists and Podiatrists.
This post will work closely with the wider dietetic team of 15 Dietitians and 1 Dietetic Assistant within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
Enthusiasm and a keen interest in mental health is vital. You will be working with adults who have complex mental health and nutritional issues, requiring skilled nutritional assessment and advice. You will gain knowledge and experience in a diverse range of conditions such as gastrointestinal dysfunction, diabetes, stoma management and food and fluid refusal. Previous clinical experience across a wide range of specialities, including nutrition support, weight management, diabetes, eating disorders and disordered eating are essential. Full training will be provided.

- BSc. or MSc. in Dietetics or BSc. in relevant science plus Post Graduate Diploma or MSc in Dietetics
- State registration via Health & Care Professions Council and compliance with professional standards and code of conduct
- Evidence of relevant post-registration specialist professional knowledge and experience acquired through recognised academic study, practical clinical education, or attendance at relevant specialist courses
Desirable
- Registered member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA)
- Involvement in special interest group
- Relevant clinical update course e.g. PENG, Diabetes
