Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time enthusiastic individual to join the Corporate Nursing Directorate and Infection Prevention and Control Teams; this is a proactive team committed to promoting high standards of Infection Prevention and Control across the Trust. Main duties of the job
As an integral part of the team, the post holder will assist in the delivery of specialist advice, education and support on all aspects of Infection Prevention and Control for healthcare professionals and patients.
This job role will include maintenance of best practice in infection prevention via infection prevention audits, surveillance of healthcare associated infections, responding to outbreaks of infection and other communicable disease and delivery of training for infection prevention. You must therefore be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to challenge and inform practice.
You will also be required to travel between Trust sites therefore, afull UK driving license and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
