Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for three full time enthusiastic individuals to join the Corporate Nursing Directorate and Infection Prevention and Control Teams; this is a proactive team committed to promoting high standards of Infection Prevention and Control across the Trust. Main duties of the job

The post holder will be based at one of the three IPC bases (Rampton Hospital/Tuxford Clinic or Highbury Hospital) and work within the IPC team and have a professional link to all other IPC colleagues within the Trust.

To develop and implement an audit system, policies, procedures and practice guidance for the prevention and control of infection in order to meet the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (2015) and other relevant documents

With the team leader to contribute to service development and service redesign in response to the demands of the national and local agenda

To provide Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust staff with support and advice on measures to limit the spread of infection within the scope of Trust policies where specific medical advice is not required, to minimize the risk of infection to patients, clients, visitors, contractors and health care workers
