Job summary
We are looking for a dedicated and highly organised Cleaning Supervisor to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high standards of cleanliness. In this role, you will oversee daily cleaning operations, support and guide cleaning staff, and ensure all tasks are completed to the highest quality. The position operates on a shift pattern covering 07:00--15:00 and 11:30--19:30, providing consistent supervision and service across the day. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example in a busy, patient focused environment.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for undertaking annual Ward Assistant appraisals and setting and agreeing work-plans and objectives, in conjunction with the Assistant Facilities Manager -- Cleaning
To lead, motivate and direct Ward Assistant staff in the effective and efficient delivery of cleaning services
Responsible for coaching Ward Assistants, such their knowledge, competency and performance is enhanced
Responsible for own work prioritisation, output and quality
Demonstrates activities and work routines to others in own work area and provides local induction training for new members of staff;
Responsible for ensuring all accountable staff attend ongoing LEAP training
Responsible for ensuring accountable staff maintaining agreed quality standards
Responsible for identifying any identified performance or capability issue of accountable staff, managing and/or escalating to line manager
Oversee and manage staff sickness to level 2 of the trust Managing Absence Policy.
