We are looking for an enthusiastic Bank Band 6 Weight Management & Bariatric Surgery Dietitian to join our dynamic and supportive Nutrition & Dietetics team at Musgrove Park Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across our Tier 3 Weight Management and Tier 4 Bariatric Surgery pathways, providing specialist outpatient dietetic care to patients on both surgical and nonsurgical treatment routes. You'll play a key role in supporting patients through holistic assessment, personalised nutrition planning, group education and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Main duties of the job
- Principally the Dietitian will provide continuity of care for patients on the surgical pathway by working across the Tier 3 Weight Management Service and Tier 4 Bariatric Surgery Services. They will also deliver care for patients on the non-surgical pathway, including those receiving medical interventions.
- This care will be as a specialist dietetic, patient centred, outpatient service, including holistic assessment and treatment, for patients.
- The Dietitian will be an integral team member and work closely with other Dietitians and members of the MDT to maintain our International Centre of Excellence status contributing to ongoing service evaluation and improvements.
- Additionally, they will help to provide specialist advice within the Trust and externally to Dietetic colleagues, GPs, Nurses, Endocrinologists, Psychologists, Surgeons and other health care professionals.
- Working with the MDT and the Dietetic team, contribute to continuous improvement in the way patients are managed, across the pathways in the Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery Services.
