Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Therapeutic Radiographer (Band 6) to join the Beacon Radiotherapy team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high quality, patient centred radiotherapy to people across Somerset. Main duties of the job
As a Senior Therapeutic Radiographer, you will:
- Oversee daily operations within pretreatment, preparation, treatment or review areas, ensuring consistently high standards.
- Supervise radiotherapy staff up to Band 5 and support their development.
- Plan and/or deliver safe and accurate radiotherapy treatment.
- Use advanced communication skills to support patients and carers in treatment decision making.
- Maintain a high level of clinical expertise, acting as a knowledgeable resource for colleagues.
- Support the specialist therapeutic radiographers with quality objectives and service development.
- Participate in highquality audits, research, and evidencebased practice initiatives.
- Assist and deputise for specialist radiographers when required.
