We are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Pharmacist to join our brand-new Outpatient Pharmacy serving patients, visitors and the local community.

The brand-new Outpatient Pharmacy will be opened Monday - Friday 9AM till 6PM.
The Role
As a key member of our new Outpatient Pharmacy team, you will:
- Deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centred pharmaceutical care
- Provide clinical advice to patients and healthcare professionals
- Support the smooth running of dispensary operations
- Help shape the culture and standards of a brand-new service
- Work collaboratively with a friendly and supportive team
Hours: Full-time (40 or 42.5 hours per week)
Part-time: Considered for the right candidate
Main duties of the job
As an Outpatient Pharmacist, you will lead the delivery of a high-quality, patient-focused pharmacy service at Musgrove Park Hospital. Your responsibilities include ensuring the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines, providing expert clinical advice to healthcare professionals, and managing the day-to-day operations of the outpatient pharmacy. You will supervise and develop pharmacy staff, maintain compliance with governance and GPhC standards, oversee audits and quality improvement initiatives, and support medicines management and service development. Acting as the Responsible Pharmacist, you will ensure timely supply of medicines, manage controlled drugs in line with legislation, and contribute to policy development and financial performance monitoring.
