This is a varied and hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of our hospital environment. You'll be involved in cleaning, catering, portering, and general housekeeping duties, all essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming space for patients, staff, and visitors.

Main duties of the job

  • Carrying out cleaning duties across wards, patient rooms, kitchens, and communal areas.
  • Supporting catering services including meal preparation, delivery, and food safety checks.
  • Assisting with portering tasks such as transporting equipment, linen, and patient items.
  • Maintaining hygiene standards in line with National Cleaning Standards and Trust policies.
  • Working closely with the Facilities Team Leader, Housekeeper, and clinical teams.
