We are seeking an Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Coordinator to join our friendly and supportive Ophthalmology team. As AMD Coordinator, you will provide essential administrative support, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both patients and clinical staff. This role involves booking of outpatient appointments and managing complex treatment schedules, amongst other duties, requiring a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job
To provide a co-ordinating administrative service for the Age-Related Macular Degeneration Service, ensuring that high standards are maintained in terms of quality and output. To use own initiative and work without supervision. To maintain a high level of prolonged concentration at all times to ensure and maintain a high-quality service.
Act as Fail-Safe Manager to ensure that all bookings and injections are carried out as per guidance from the Royal College of Ophthalmology and NICE guidelines, checking every patient from every Macular Treatment, Nurse Practitioner and Virtual clinic in a timely manner. Ensure all new patients have an appointment offered to them within one week as per NICE guidelines.
