Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly specialist pharmacist with a passion for education and training to join our motivated, personable and patient focused pharmacy team. You will be working as a key member of the senior team and will be responsible for leading, developing and delivering a high quality education and training programme for members of the pharmacy team and the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will also have the opportunity to provide a comprehensive, safe and patient centred clinical pharmacy service to inpatients at Yeovil District Hospital.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced pharmacist to join our senior team who is forward-thinking and dynamic and able to lead, manage and co-ordinate the work of the pharmacy team to ensure the provision of proactive and high quality training and education opportunities for all members of the pharmacy team. You must be keen to learn yourself and be dedicated to nurturing, mentoring and developing our staff to reach their full potential. You will be responsible for providing professional leadership as well as organising and supporting the education and training and the continuing professional development of trainee pharmacists, qualified pharmacy staff and other multi-disciplinary staff. The role involves the implementation of local and national policies relating to education and training and liaising with external organisations and universities involved in the delivery of education.
