Main duties of the job
- Create and verify 3D treatment plans using advanced treatment planning software (e.g., Pinnacle).
- Perform dose calculations, plan checks, and treatment reviews for a wide range of cancer sites and techniques.
- Contribute to mould room activities, including production of immobilisation devices, shielding blocks, and electron end-frames.
- Conduct routine dosimetry and quality assurance testing on linear accelerators and CT simulators.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings and support clinical trials and service development projects.
- Assist with quality systems including ISO 9001, treatment audits, and R&D activities.
