We're looking for a Registered Nurse to join our friendly and innovative CAMHS West Team. We welcome applications from both newly qualified nurses (Band 5 developmental role) and experienced practitioners (Band 6). This is a community-based role and requires a valid UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and business insurance.

Main duties of the job

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Providing specialist assessment, treatment, consultation and guidance to young people referred to CAMHS, and supporting the multidisciplinary team in their care planning and interventions.
  • Delivering evidence-based, recovery-focused interventions tailored to the needs of children and adolescents, including those experiencing complex mental health or neurodevelopmental needs.
  • Supporting the ongoing development of systems and care processes to enhance service delivery and ensure high standards of care are maintained.
  • Building strong therapeutic relationships with young people and offering meaningful support and psychoeducation to their families and carers to ensure they feel informed, heard and involved throughout.
  • Acting as a key member of the team, confidently contributing to clinical discussions, joint-working with other professionals and agencies, and advocating for holistic, person-centred care.
  • Conducting positive risk assessments and developing robust, collaborative safety plans.
  • (Band 6) Taking on a leadership role within the team, including providing supervision and support to junior colleagues, contributing to service development initiatives, and mentoring others in line with your experience
