Job summary
As a member of the Records Access and Disclosure Office you will receive requests from data subjects, their representatives and third party organisations for access to records the Hospital holds.
You will be required to abide by the relevant legislation such as the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR, Access to Health Records Act 1990 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
We receive approximately 4500 Data Access requests and 700 Freedom of Information requests per year and must complete these within the timescales required by the relevant legislation.
The job involves:
Providing an efficient and effective administrative service within the team
Recording the data access requests on a database
Collating, combining and copying paper and electronic documentation relevant to the request - such as medical records, emails, staff records
Reviewing and redacting records records
Compiling responses and completing requests
Dealing with general enquiries
