We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Craftsperson with a mechanical background to join our Estates & Facilities team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
If you have served as a Vehicle Technician, Plant Mechanic, RAF/Army/Navy Engineer, Pipefitter, Plumber or similar - your skills are highly transferable to this role!
Main duties of the job
You'll become an integral part of the hospital maintenance team who are responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive mechanical maintenance and installation service across the Trust's estates, carrying out:
- Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a busy acute hospital.
- Repairs, installations, and minor project work to ensure the safe and efficient running of critical hospital systems.
- Some cross-trade support tasks across electrical and building systems.
You'll work to high standards of safety and compliance (especially to HTM standards), helping ensure our environment is safe for patients, staff, and visitors.
