Job summary

We are seeking to recruit a motivated receptionist/ward clerk to work across both our inpatient ward, outpatient and MIU departments at Chard and Crewkerne Community Hospitals.

An outgoing personality and a professional demeanour is essential as you will be the initial point of contact for our patients and visitors.

Full training for the post, and a uniform, will be provided.

Main duties of the job

You must have previous receptionist and administration experience; possess excellent customer service, administrative and IT skills. We require a conscientious candidate who can work under pressure and is eager to learn. You must also have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide a friendly and efficient front of house service.

  • Good general standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent. Excellent IT skills, i.e. Microsoft Word, ExcelIT qualification

  • Knowledge of Rio, Integra, Maxims, Oceano

Experience

  • Previous administrative experience and working as part of a team.Previous experience of working face to face with the public in a busy environment, preferably frontline.

  • NHS administrative experience
