Job summary

We are looking to appoint a Health Care Assistant who is enthusiastic, motivated with a passion for caring to join our dedicated Team in the Children's Outpatients Department.

We support a large variety of clinics. Our doctors covered a range of specialties such as respiratory, cardiac, diabetes, epilepsy, allergy and many others including general medical and surgical clinics.

Some of our specialist nurses also run clinics alongside the consultant clinics.

As a Health Care Assistant you will work as part of a larger team including doctors, registered nurses and clerical staff and will play a key role in supporting and assisting the team to enable the smooth running of the department.

Main duties of the job

Experience of working in a care setting would be advantageous but all necessary skills training, professional updates and mandatory training as appropriate to the post will be provided.

The main duties of the role include undertaking patient height and weight, physical observations and performing other investigations such as blood taking and recording ECGs.
