Job summary
The post holder will support the Facilities Team Leader to lead the Facilities Team by setting a good professional standard.
The post holder will work under the direction of the Facilities Team Leader and deputising for day-to-day operational issues in their absence.
The specific duties within this job role will be shared on average within the following areas;
Catering/housekeeping 50%, Cleaning 20%, office 30%
This will be across mutiple sites so time management is important.
Main duties of the job
Specific duties will be discussed at interview.
Work closely with Nursing Teams, Facilities Team and Estates teams together with other support service departments . Post holder will be responsible for monitoring quality standards, compliance, working in line with Trust policies, procedures and National guidance and take and/or facilitate appropriate action.
Prepare, cook, and regenerate food for patients and staff, using the Cook Freeze method. They will complete internal monitoring of Food Hygiene Regulations, temperature and quality control points in line with Hazard Analysis Critical Control points.
Work as an integral member of the Hospital team(s), with responsibility for the coordination of all facilities contained within the catering and cleaning environment, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment is maintained, that the correct provision of food meets the patients needs and complies with National Standards and Trust Policies.
To ensure a safe, effective and compliant cleaning and catering service is delivered, exercising effective leadership in managing the performance and directing the teams and that minor maintenance of environment and equipment is undertaken, and an effective Catering Service is offered to patients.
To support the Facilities Team leader to complete the annual Facilities Service Assistants appraisals and setting and agreeing work plans and objectives, to monitor and review in conjunction with the Facilities Team Leader.
