Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity as a part time Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist, to cover maternity leave on a fixed-term basis in Bridgwater Community Hospital. You will be part of an MDT working with a shared vision of putting the person at the centre of their care.
Our innovative team covers a 30 bedded inpatient unit and 10 OPMH+ beds in Casa Di Lusso care home. Our ethos is to enable people to be as independent as possible, and you will be completing rehabilitation for people with varied and complex needs. We receive people discharged from the acute hospitals and the community that require ongoing rehabilitation prior to discharge to their next destination for a period of up to 6 weeks.

You need to be a car driver with a valid driving licence with appropriate business insurance, or have access to transport in order to travel throughout the Trust, to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
In this role, you will be supported to:
To provide high quality patient-centred care and specialist rehabilitation to adults referred to the Intermediate Care Bedded Pathway Service.
The post holder will be required to work their hours over 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the service.
Take a role in the development of the Intermediate Care Service within Somerset
Your professional supervision, includes support from the team leader who is an experienced AHP therapist, working with you in intermediate care. Links with other physiotherapists within the intermediate care service will be supported
