Are you an enthusiastic Physiotherapist looking for a senior rotational role in a supportive and dynamic environment? Yeovil District Hospital, part of Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a Band 6 Senior Rotational Physiotherapist to join our Therapy Team!

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Rotational Physiotherapist, you'll play a key role in patient recovery while developing your skills in multiple specialities. Your rotations will include: Frailty, Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Stroke & Neurology, Orthopaedics, Rapid Intervention Team (ED & Emergency Admissions), Urgent Care (Respiratory, Surgical & ICU).

You'll be working in a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Rehabilitation Assistants to provide outstanding patient care.

What You'll Do:

  • Assess, treat, and rehabilitate patients across a range of clinical areas
  • Help shape and improve physiotherapy services within the Trust
  • Support and mentor Band 5 Physiotherapists, students, and Rehabilitation Assistants
  • Play a crucial role in timely patient discharge planning
  • Contribute to clinical audits, research, and service development
  • Take part in weekend and respiratory on-call services to ensure 24/7 patient care

Essential

  • HCPC registration
  • Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy
  • Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including evidence of recent postgraduate learning

Desirable

  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Post-graduate accredited course in rehabilitation or relevant post graduate courses

Experience

  • Proven post graduate experience with extensive clinical experience relevant to the post
  • To have completed a variety of rotations and acquired core skills relevant to the post
  • Experience of a wide range of clinical rehabilitation areas in an acute setting
  • Experience working as part of a Respiratory On-call and/or twilight service
  • Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of clinical governance
