Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Team Leader on a permanent basis working 37.5 hour per week.
You will be responsible for providing leadership to the theatre teams within the Main Theatre department. You will demonstrate a leading by example style of leadership with clinical credibility maintaining visibility and accessibility to both staff and patients, including undertaking direct patient care.
Main duties of the job
- To work as part of the senior team to lead and coordinate the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of a defined clinical area, ensuring adequate systems are in place to support continuity of pre and post operative nursing care.
- To provide leadership within the theatre team daily, inspiring, nurturing and empowering colleagues to deliver patient centred, evidence-based nursing care.
- To maintain, monitor and audit standards of care to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Leading by example, maintaining visibility and accessibility to staff, patients and visitors, including undertaking direct clinical care of patients.
- To assist in the management of a team comprising registered practitioners, healthcare assistants and support workers.
