Job summary

Are you a skilled clinical psychologist passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with complex mental health challenges? Join our dynamic team and take on a pivotal role within our Rehabilitation Pathway which comprises of Willow Ward, inpatient and Open Mental Health Rehabilitation Team, community.

In this role you will be responsible for providing highly specialised psychological assessments and interventions to patients with complex mental health difficulties and rehabilitation needs. You will support clinical leadership across the Rehabilitation Pathway by offering specialist consultation, training, and supervision.

As part of the leadership team, you will deliver clinical leadership when required and play a vital role in designing and shaping new services. Collaboration with senior staff in the Adult Psychology and Psychological Therapies Service will ensure the effective implementation of best practices.

Main duties of the job

You will independently manage your work and interventions, even with the most complex cases, interpreting guidelines, policies and research as an autonomous practitioner. Consultation with peers, the Head of Service Group and other clinical supervisors will be sought as needed. Additionally, you will support capacity monitoring and caseload management within the Rehabilitation Pathway to maximise efficiency and ensure equitable access.

Your responsibilities will include providing consultancy services to the Rehabilitation Pathway staff and other professionals regarding problem assessment, complex case formulation and therapy interventions. You will deliver highly specialised psychological assessments and treatments to clients referred to the Rehabilitation Pathway, liaise with relevant professionals and participate in multi-disciplinary case discussions and planning meetings.
