Main duties of the job

Join our dedicated Neurology Therapy Team to assist in the therapeutic management of patients alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and other Rehabilitation Assistants. You'll play a key role in delivering patient-centred care, supporting assessments and treatment sessions, and fostering independence in acute or intermediate care settings.

  • Broad general education to GCSE/NVQ II including C grade or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Care certificate, level 2 in health-related area.
  • Requirement to complete level 3 QCF for this role

Experience

  • Clear understanding of the Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy role
  • Knowledge of equipment and aids
  • Demonstration of an awareness of neurological conditions
  • Comprehensive experience working as a rehabilitation assistant or rehabilitation setting
  • Comprehensive experience of working within the acute care setting
  • Evidence of supporting the development of others

Desirable

  • Demonstration of an awareness of the impact of neurological conditions on rehabilitation
  • Experience working with patients with stroke, neurological and medical conditions
