The closing date is 06 October 2024
Job summary
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a registered nurse to join our dynamic and supportive team on our 24-bed paediatric ward. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time positions.
Our ward also plays a key role in supporting children with long-term conditions as they transition into adult services.
In addition, we work closely with a small but active outpatient department, home to a dedicated and diverse team of specialists, including paediatric nurses with expertise in oncology, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and the Compass service.
If you're passionate about paediatric care and eager to work in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled nurse to provide daily care for babies, children, and young people (ages 0-18) with a wide range of acute and chronic physical and mental health conditions, including end-of-life care.
For experienced Band 5 nurses, this role also involves providing strong clinical and managerial leadership, guiding the team in the absence of senior colleagues, and empowering staff to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care.
You will actively engage with the unit's multidisciplinary approach to care, ensuring that patients, parents, carers, and families are fully involved in their care journey. This aligns with the Trust's patient and public involvement strategy, which prioritizes collaborative and holistic care.
Join us in delivering exceptional paediatric care in a supportive and inclusive environment.
