Are you interested to make real change happen, In Yeovil District Hospital we are undergoing a Transformation within the Occupational Therapy Department to focus on Life Changing, Critical Care.

Focusing on supporting individuals who have had a life changing event, using our unique acute Occupational Therapy skills. Occupational therapy is underpinned by the premise that engagement in occupation is fundamental to health and wellbeing. Through occupations people can orchestrate their lives in ways that enable them not only to survive, but also to flourish.

Main duties of the job

We have transformed the Occupational Therapy service to ensure we are positioned in the right place to maximise our skills and enhance patient experience and outcomes. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic OTs to be part of our ongoing development to ensure we deliver to those who need us when they have had significant life change events, knowing we can be on that journey with them!

Our Occupational Therapists are patient centred, assessing and supporting patients to retain or regain participation in their occupations and consequent independence in their day-to-day life.

We provide specialist assessment, goal setting and planning intervention, working closely with our support workers, Physiotherapy team and our community services across Somerset
