This role will offer you a challenging but rewarding environment, involvement in Inpatient Quality Transformation and to be a part of a broader Mental Health Inpatient service.

We are a general adolescent unit, based in Bridgwater, offering mental health care for adolescents with serious mental health difficulties, who require hospital admission. We provide a highly specialist service providing assessment, treatment and management of young people aged between 13 and 18 whose mental health problems cannot be managed in the community because of their complexity and risk.

Wessex House participate in the Royal College of Psychiatry QNIC accreditation programme and the CAMHS community service was rated as outstanding by CQC this year.

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities will include co-ordinating, delivering and maintaining a high standard of day to day clinical care for all patients on the ward, providing support to our broader Inpatient and Urgent Care services, and offering strong clinical leadership to our ward team.

Additionally, you'll maintain positive relationships with CAMHS community services and the wider South West Provider Collaborative. Plus you'll play a part in the Trust's operational on-call mental health roster.

  • Clear knowledge of risk management.
