Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Spinal CNP team initially as a band 6 development post progressing into a band 7 role after completion of required competencies.

The CNP team you would be joining provide crucial, specialised care and management to patients in all areas of orthopaedics including trauma coordinator, orthogeriatric, spinal and arthroplasty work. This team and areas covered has grown over the years and continues to develop, providing high quality care. The area in which this post will be joining is our spinal team, to help provide the specialised service to this group of patients.

Main duties of the job

The post holder undertakes a key role within the specialty, to ensure cohesion within the multidisciplinary team and efficient patient management working with and between ward nursing staff and members of the medical team.

You would deliver planned clinical work within the specialty and provide assessment of both elective and trauma patients, aiding the patient inpatient journey and discharge.

To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based, patient centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whist reflecting on your practice.
