Job summary
Assistant Practitioner/ Nurse Associate for RNDA training programme within CAMHS East and CAMHS WestAre you a Nursing Associate or Assistant Practitioner ready to advance your career? We are thrilled to announce our new RNDA RPL 2-year "top-up" programme, offering a pathway to become an NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse. Join us and make a real difference in young people's lives within our CAMHS East and CAMHS West teams.
Successful completion of the programme enables you to apply for Band 5 Registered Nurse roles in your chosen field within the organisation and register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse. (this is subject to confirmation from the NMC)
Learning Provision will be provided by:
University Centre Somerset (Bridgwater and Taunton College)
University of the West of England (Quality Assurance)
The programme will be delivered at the University Centre Somerset campus in Taunton therefore you will need to be prepared to travel to Taunton each week. There is financial support available for travel in line with our organisation's expenses policy.
Main duties of the job
Your Role
This is a fast paced role with no two days being the same. As an RNDA, you will be based within the CAMHS East or CAMHS West teams for 15 hours per week, where you will:
Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
Conduct assessments and deliver 1-1 work with young people
Support parents and contribute to Tier 3 CAMHS services
Programme Structure
7.5 hours per week: Taught day at University Centre Somerset
15 hours per week: You will undertake placement blocks across the patient pathway of Mental Health nursing, a mixture of inpatient, acute, community and specialist placement area. You will also undertake a "cross field" placement.
