Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic individual to become our Emergency, Trauma and Orthopaedic Lead Radiographer at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. The applicant should have significant radiographic experience, demonstrate strong leadership, and possess effective organisational and communication skills.
With QSI Accreditation this is a forward thinking and progressive Radiology service in an 800+ bed acute DGH. The service employs the latestimaging techniques. With a Managed Equipment Service supplied by Ergea, we ensure that all our equipment remains up to date.
Main duties of the job
This role is primarily a leadership role and centred around the management of providing a high quality projectional imaging service in our emergency department. The post holder will be involved with line management of staff, and supporting and facilitating the training of a wide range of learners.The individual must be confident in organising staff skill mix, prioritising workload, and liaising with other service providers such as theatres, wards, and the emergency department.
The post holder will act as an RPS for the area and provided with the relevant training required. This role will be supported by a recently established on site medical physics team. In addition there will be an expectation to manage the regular QA of the equipment.
