Job summary

Are you a dynamic and proactive individual with a background in project or programme management?

Then we'd love to hear from you!

We are seeking a Programme Management Office (PMO) Support Officer to become a central part of our team delivering the Musgrove Park Hospital redevelopment scheme. This is an exciting programme, delivering transformation and modernisation of the existing hospital site, with the key focus on improving patient experience in Somerset.

Musgrove Park Hospital is part of the national New Hospitals Programme (NHP) and will build on the significant redevelopment already underway on the site. You'll work as part of our newly created Programme Management Office, supporting the PMO providing a high-quality co-ordination and assurance function around all programme activity, to ensure the successful delivery of programme objectives and outcomes.

The role offers hybrid working with a mix of home based and office working. You'll be expected to come to the office in Taunton and other Somerset FT sites on a weekly basis, according to the needs of the programme.

Main duties of the job

As the PMO Support Officer, you'll work with the PMO Lead to support the wider programme team, providing assurance to the Trust's Executive Programme Board and the national NHP team that the scheme, and wider Musgrove 2030 programme, are being effectively managed. You can also expect:

Project Planning: Assist in drafting and updating project plans and tracking progress to ensure alignment with objectives.

Report Generation: Analysing data and produce reports for programme and project reports, risk and issue logs and benefits realisation tracking, providing valuable insights for decision-making.

Status Reporting: Maintain accurate status reports to keep stakeholders informed about project progress.

Risk and Issue Management: Manage and review the risk and issue log, facilitating timely resolution and mitigation strategies.

Administrative and Time Management: Utilise your strong administrative skills to handle minute taking, maintain records and prioritise a busy workload, ensuring deadlines are met
