Job summary
This post offers an exciting opportunity to work our friendly Compliance and Effectiveness team, which has a broad remit across the whole of the merged organisation.
Working as part of the wider integrated Governance Support Team, the post holder will support the delivery of clinical audit as a quality improvement process and provide assurance of the quality of services the organisation provides.
The post holder will provide a specialist facilitation function to operational teams and colleagues, with the emphasis on promoting service/lead ownership of clinical audit and supporting staff to develop capability in completing effective clinical audit cycles.
Main duties of the job
In summary, the post holder will:
- Provide support for the facilitation of all types of clinical audit activity, such as data collection tool production and case note management.
- Ensure an accurate live record of all clinical audit activity is maintained, enabling monitoring completion of clinical audits as scheduled, and accurate reporting when required.
- Support in the facilitation of clinical audits as agreed (national and local), with supervisory support from the Facilitator team, with the focus being support at the outset of a clinical audit in an advisory fashion.
- Support effective and appropriate training programmes on best practice for clinical audit for all clinical staff working in the organisation.
- Promote the use of agreed tools and templates
- Support and contribute to ensuring that the organisation meets external requirements related to clinical audit.
- Provide support for other elements of clinical effectiveness (incorporating national clinical guidance assessment and response to NCEPOD reports).
