The Emergency Department is looking for a Progress Chaser to help facilitate the smooth and timely flow of patient journeys through the department and reduce delays.
Main duties of the job
To be Central point of contact for the co-ordination of patient flow through their Unscheduled Care VisitTo provide practical and administrative support to ED, monitoring visit times, and proactively chasing tests and resultsTo alert Patient Flow Team/Matron to anticipated difficulties in terms of admissions/discharges and any likely obstruction to meet the ED4-hour visit or Ambulance Service 30 minute handover targetsTo follow the internal professional standards for emergency medicine
