Are you a passionate and experienced mental health professional ready to lead and inspire a team to provide exceptional care? Look no further! Holford ward is seeking a dedicated Clinical Lead to guide our team towards excellence in patient care and treatment.

We are a dedicated team working within a recovery-focused service, committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. As a key member of our in-patient multi-disciplinary team, you'll play a vital role in coordinating, delivering and maintaining high-quality clinical care.

Holford ward provides psychiatric intensive inpatient care. We also have provision to accept patients from prison or other mental health services. We provide assessment and intensive acute treatment for detained individuals in the most disturbed phase of their mental illness, whose capacity for self-control and associated risks cannot be therapeutically managed on a general open acute ward.

You may be required to work in other areas of the Trust to meet service needs.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Lead, you'll provide support to the ward manager and clinical leadership to the ward team and you'll lead the clinician management of patients to ensure that high standards of nursing care are achieved and maintained.

Additionally, you'll identify, provide and supervise therapeutic activities, emotional support and stability to patients to ensure effective engagement whilst maintaining professional boundaries and take a lead on a range of interventions available, whilst ensuring that evidence-based practice is adopted and maintained. You'll also be responsible for the administration of prescribed medication in line with Trust policy and drug administration standards.

You'll maintain personal clinical expertise as required by the needs of a changing service and statutory bodies.
