Are you an Occupational Therapist looking to work within a supportive, developing Mental Health Service in Yeovil?

We have a team of specialist mental health doctors, nurses and therapists who work closely with our home treatment team. We'd like you to join us!

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our growing dynamic and innovative team across the Summerland site to provide meaningful activity and engagement. We are soon to be two 15 bedded acute wards on the one site, with the imminent relocation of St Andrew's to the Yeovil site.

As part of the wider Multi-disciplinary team you will undertake specific needs assessments to support goal setting and treatment planning. You will be able to promote and enable independent living and support clients to meet their goals as they move towards discharge.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the Occupational Therapy service in Rowan Ward receiving clinical supervision from the Occupational Therapist lead.

The Occupational Therapy Service provides assessment and treatment in the In-Patient Wards and where appropriate the community and the home setting.

The postholder may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends.

  • To provide a high standard of Occupational Therapy to inpatients in Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. This will primarily include inpatients and where appropriate out patients in departments and in the patients own home
