Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Physiotherapist to join the team at Yeovil District Hospital to lead in the development of Physiotherapy service provision to Paediatrics (0.5 WTE).

The successful individual will have the expertise to develop a robust and responsive paediatric service including responsibilities for service provision & development and training for staff on the Respiratory Physiotherapy On-Call rota.

The role be situated within the Adult Respiratory Physiotherapy Team and will require advanced clinical skills to treat adult patients on a regular basis (0.5 WTE).

Main duties of the job

  • Provide a highly specialised and up to date physiotherapy service in Paediatrics, Adult Critical Care and Respiratory Wards at YDH
  • Provide clinical expertise including Paediatric-specific On-Call Respiratory Physiotherapy training and support to all Therapy staff and the multi-disciplinary team
  • Leading in the planning, co-ordinating, delivery, evaluation and improvement of Physiotherapy services to Paediatrics and On-call Respiratory Physiotherapy services
  • Responsibility for the delivery of a highly specialised, evidence-based Physiotherapy and Respiratory On-Call Service to the Paediatric ward and the adult Intensive Care Unit and Respiratory wards at Yeovil District Hospital
  • Providing clinical and strategic leadership for Paediatric Physiotherapy Services and the Respiratory Physiotherapy service with responsibilities for safety, quality, training and clinical governance agendas; supporting the workforce to deliver exceptional care
