Job summary
We are seeking a Health Care Support Worker at Band 3 for District Nursing based in Yeovil and surrounding areas.
You will work as part of a team providing high quality and compassionate care to patients in their own homes.
You will have the understanding and ability to deliver delegated care under the direction of Community Staff Nurses and Team Leads.
Main duties of the job
You will work as a member of the community nursing team within a given geographical area.
You will work as a member of the community nursing team providing care 24 hours per day, 7 days per week on a rota system offering a high standard of service.
Must be a car driver with a valid driving licence or have access to regular personal transport with appropriate business insurance in order to travel throughout the Trust, to meet the needs of the service.

- A Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 3. This could be a Vocational NVQ, BTEC or equivalent international qualification in healthcare or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of experience

- Previous recent experience of working within an acute/ community setting.
- Experience of working with older people.
