Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for Band 3 rehabilitation assistant to join the Frailty Therapy team, providing care for patients across the full scope of the Frailty pathway, from acute assessment areas to the wards.

Ability to cover a weekend shift monthly and Bank Holiday cover is also required.

Main duties of the job

You will have previous experience working as a Rehabilitation Assistant and will have the ability to work independently with patients supporting them to meet their rehabilitation goals. This role provides the opportunity to work with a highly diverse clinical group, supporting rapid comprehensive assessment and provision of joined up, individualised care.

You will have excellent communication skills involving the ability to modify your approach when supporting patients with a range of sensory and cognitive challenges.

You will have experience using a variety of mobility aids/ moving and handling equipment and be confident using any additional equipment required to assist activities of daily living.
