Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Courier Services team at Somerset NHS FT, This role will predominantly be based in the Post Room at Musgrove Park Hospital.

We are looking for someone who can use their own initiative, work well with other people, be able to work on their own as well as being able to approach others for support.

Main duties of the job

The role will predominantly be based in the Post Room, and main duties will include

  • Processing Internal & External post. ensuring this is done in a timely manner
  • Delivering/Collecting Internal post
  • Franking External Royal Mail post
  • Liaising with Royal Mail & other delivery agencies
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the Post Room & raising any issues with the Team Leader & Manager

Occasionally there are times where the you may be required to provide cross cover for the Courier Service, therefore a full driving license is required, Vehicles driven range from small car to 3.5 tonne Luton size vans.

This role will be day shifts and may involve some weekend work.
